Crazy Days!

Bon jour! Ca va? Wow! We thought we were busy before but this whole France thing has certainly stirred things up!!! Today I got 4 phone calls and 23 emails about things that we need to do before we can even begin to move. Yesterday, I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone figuring how to get all the kids' passports and everyone's Visas in time for our proposed deadline. Our house will go on the market tomorrow. On Friday, the movers come to start discussing how we separate all of our possessions into things that will stay and be stored, things that will be shipped to France by sea, and things that will be shipped by air. We will also of course have a mound of things to be sold or gotten rid of. Josh and I also took care of booking our "look see" trip where we will fly over to France on July 14 to find a house, schools, cars, etc before the big move. We are managing to have fun though as well! Taba is at "Camp Weber" this week where she is spending time with my parents. Yesterday, we had class two of our French lessons and learned all sorts of interesting things! Did you know that the French personally greet each person in a room with a "Bon jour" and a handshake or cheek kisses? No general "Hi, how are ya's?" to the room at large. Today, we had a wonderful visit from our "favorite babysitter and teacher in the whole world" - Ms Sarah! Sarah drove up here this morning. We promptly dragged her on a long, long, hot hike through the woods followed by the afternoon at the local waterpark. We all had a great time. This evening, Quincy played in a summer band concert to culminate the end of his daily summer band practices. Max was so tired from our big day that he fell asleep on my lap for most of the concert. I think I will hit the hay myself. Bonne nuit!
