Popsicle time!

This has a been a bit of a crazy week, weather-wise. It got suddenly cool on Monday and Tuesday and only slightly warmer yesterday so we haven't been hanging out at the pool quite as much. Max and Calvin and I discovered the Horticulture park near here the other day while Quincy and Tabitha were at band practice and had a great time hiking for a solid hour through the woods. Very pretty. We have also been doing a lot of reading and participating in the summer reading program activities at the library. Calvin has already read 17 books since we signed up for the program 10 days ago! Quincy has been asked to participate in the summer band program for both the beginner band and the intermediate band so he is now playing his drums for 3 hours straight every morning. He really seems to love it! He even practices before and after practice each day! We may have to get him a drum set one of these days.... (Yikes!) Today was hot but horribly windy! We did go to the pool for a few hours but finally came home after feeling just beat up by the wind. We have also been closely watching Max's pet in a jar. We are waiting for his caterpillar to turn into a butterfly.
