Fantastic Friday!

I love when the kids are home from school!! Today was a day of big teacher's meetings (I think) at the little boys' school so they didn't have to go to school today. We had a very nice relaxed morning at home. We were able to finish up a little Christmas shopping, walk around our little village while we picked up some packages at the post office and then go and play on the beach before lunch. It was just gorgeous today! Two little episodes of rain that lasted not more than 10 minutes and the rest of the time, the sun was out, the sky was blue and the temperature was never below 55! We climbed on the rocks and walked along the beach picking up sea shells.... After lunch, we met some friends at a Playmobil exhibit at the mall where the kids played for a long time. Playmobil is huge with Calvin and Max's age around here so they were just thrilled when they received a couple of little figures for free after drawing a picture at the exhibit. When they tired of this, we headed to the home of a friend where they all played with more Playmobil and then ran around for hours. Quincy and Taba walked to this friend's house from school with her older children and then all the kids played for awhile before we took off for home. Very fun! This evening, we all watched my friend Valerie on television. She was chosen to be on a game show and it was aired tonight. Great fun to cheer her on and to try to understand the questions in French that they were asking her! Tonight, Josh and I are heading out the door to meet with 6 of Quincy's teachers for our first round of parent/teacher conferences!!
