Fishing and Farming

Quincy started school today in earnest. He had to wear his uniform, go a full day and do homework when he got home. He seems to like it though and everything is going well. He is a little annoyed with us that we have him in German 2 versus German 1 with the other freshman. However, since he already took a year of German in France, it doesn't seem right to have him start from the beginning! He was happy to have not one single problem with his geometry homework tonight even though everyone else in his class is struggling and complaining about the teacher's methods.
I managed to do a fair amount of organizing and some more unpacking today while the carpet layer installed a large part of our new carpet today. The younger three kids spent their last free day playing with friends and running around the neighborhood.

After Quincy came home from school, he and Max decided to dig out their fishing rods and doing a little fishing in the lake that borders our yard. They seemed to have a great time although didn't catch anything.
While Max, Calvin and Coco had a great time playing in our newly carpeted basement, I ran over to the local farmer's market with a friend. I was thrilled to discover that this is just one of 4 farmer's markets that I can have easy access to in a given week. Hurray! Fresh veggies and fruits just like in France!
Max would like me to tell all of you that he has 40 mosquito bites from his outdoor sleep-over with Grandma over the weekend.
All four kids will have a full day of school tomorrow!! I sure hope that I am not too lonely...
