I can't believe that I am already saying those words. Seems like just yesterday that I met Josh while WE were in high school....
Quincy had Freshman Orientation today at the small Catholic high school that he will attend. There are 69 kids in his grade, the largest Freshman class that they have ever had. He knows a small group of the kids from his years here in Elementary school. He had a good day where they toured the school, ate lunch together, walked their schedule and met all of the teachers. Tomorrow, he will go in full uniform and start for real. Wow!

The other kids and I finished up our back to school shopping before joining some friends for lunch and then heading over to the neighborhood pool for some swimming. Before we even got in the water however, it started thundering. This evolved into another afternoon-long thunderstorm. We abandoned the pool idea and just went to the home of a friend to "hang out". We came home a couple of hours later to discover that a little bit of water had again seeped into our basement. Ughhh! We have the carpet ready to be installed tomorrow! Fortunately, this is just in one room (unfortunately, Quincy's bedroom) so we can install the rest of the carpet and just wait a bit on the one room. Josh is fairly confident that he discovered and fixed the problem so I guess we will wait for tomorrow's rain storm to see...
