We are taking off for spring break this evening - we'll be gone until Sunday, March 18. Heading for some fun and sand in Myrtle Beach. Hurray! The kids are so excited! I have a day of laundry and packing ahead of me while the kids go to school and Josh goes to work. Whew! No one ever warned us about the effort it takes to get a family of 6 off on vacation!
Here's a catch up on a last couple of days.... Quincy's audition seemed to go well on Tuesday night, although we haven't heard a word so we don't know whether he got a part or not. He didn't hesitate at all with his singing - I was pretty impressed with his confidence! On Wednesday, I was able to tag along on a joint field trip with Calvin's 2nd grade class and Max's kindergarten class. We rode the bus to a local nursing home where they put on a music program for the residents. Cute! Quincy got "Guitar Hero" for his birthday from his loving parents, so he has been busy playing some good rock music on the guitar controller in the basement these days. Josh has been given even more responsibilities at work and is now in charge of the HR department as well as business development. He has been working some long hours interviewing and getting some more staff hired to keep up with their work load. He is ready for a vacation.
Back to my packing...
