Today, Quincy didn't feel so well so at about 11:30, I received a call that he needed to be picked up from school and brought home....Guess we are all catching some new germs that we are used to. After a nap this afternoon, Quincy seems to feel much better already so hopefully this is just a quick illness. This morning, I attended my first French "Pampered Chef" party. It wasn't really Pampered Chef but something similar. The woman hosting the party and selling the kitchen supplies didn't speak English but I went with a friend who helped me out. I had to place an order for baguette and quiche pans so I can do some real French cooking! The hostess was very ready and willing to teach me about French cooking but I need to understand a bit more French before she and I can really "work" together. After picking Quincy up from school, he and I came home to a quiet afternoon. I made a big pot of white bean and rosemary soup which we all enjoyed for our dinner. I also made a quick visit to another friend's house this afternoon. She had just returned from Paris where she had been selected to be on a French quiz show called "Question pour Champion" - sort of like Jeopardy. She had all kinds of interesting stories to tell me about her adventure in show biz. Very exciting even though she didn't win! Her show will be aired in December so I look forward to watching her on television! We can't decide if it's fall or spring around here.... some of my plants are starting to blossom while other's have leaves that are changing color....
