Sunsets, shopping and architecture!

I'm finally feeling quite a bit better and was able to join the land of the living again today! Hurray! I hit my two french classes today in downtown Vannes and did some window shopping in between. The French classes are quite interesting as there are people from all different countries. Unfortunately, French is often our only shared language and since we are in "beginner's French" that isn't saying much! Someone compared these classes to adult charades! Needless to say, there is not a lot of chit chat around the room while the teacher is trying to talk! I did meet a girl today who is from the Czech Republic and is working here for a family as an au pair. She told me that her host family is from Cincinnati! They have been here for 3 years though and will only be here until January when they are moving back to the US. She is very excited to follow them back to the U.S. Today was just absolutely perfect. The sky was blue, the temperature was about 50 this morning and got up to almost 70. I had a wonderful time just window shopping and enjoying the sights of Vannes. This evening, the sunset was absolutely gorgeous and Josh and I were finally able to time a walk to be right on the shore while it was happening. The rest of my pictures are from my ramblings around Vannes. In case I have falsely given any one the idea that all of the architecture here is beautiful, I"m also including a picture of our grocery store. Most of the more modern buildings here are just as ugly if not uglier than in the United States.
