'Tis the season to wish a "beautiful and happy" new year! We have been receiving New Years greeting cards for the past week and a half. While enjoying yet another "king cake" with my coffee drinkin' friends today, I discovered that the tradition around here is not to send Christmas cards but to send Happy New Year cards throughout the month of January. It's been very fun to receive the cards (I'm including a picture of one) and to see everyone's families all together. Now maybe, I can put the children with the right parents and finally, finally learn everyone's names by seeing them in writing! More prep work for the move today but I did get to take a picture of our little village from our side of the peninsula today and we all enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the water. Josh is working a rare, very late evening so it's 9:30 pm and he's stil not home from work.
