No turn on red...pass or be passed anytime, anywhere...stop right next to the stoplights, not at some arbitrary line behind the intersection.... These are all important driving tips to remember while in France but also ones that are easily forgotten when you have been driving in the U.S. for say, the past 2 weeks.... Lots of running errands today helped me to regain these habits but I had to consciously remind myself at times. We made it through another jet-lagged day after a horrible night. Josh was sick all night so he lapsed in and out of usefullness while Max and Calvin were up off and on until 2 a.m. because their little bodies were so thrown out of whack. I finally got everyone settled by 2 and was able to force myself to sleep for the 5 hours we had left in the night. Everyone had a hard time waking up again this morning but seemed to perk up more quickly during the day. Josh is finally feeling much better and worked all day as well as being able to eat a few small meals today. I sure hope the rest of us do not get what he has! I finally completed my last load of vacation laundry this evening just in time to start packing boxes for our move next week! I did get a chance to visit with my two closest French friends over some coffee this morning after picking up the boxes from the moving company. The kids again told me how much more comfortable they feel with their French language skills since our return. Quincy reported that he talked to his geography teacher for the first time ever today, they had a short French conversation about the US geography he saw last week. In the pictures, you will see some views from my wanderings along the sea today as well as our "guard dog", the basset hound from next door who loves to sit right in front of our gate - even when a car is trying to come or go.
