A Basketball Kind of Day

Today was all about basketball..... Another gorgeous weather day, warmer than many of the days we had this "summer". Josh, Calvin and Tabitha headed down to the market to pick up some fresh fruit and bread. They then came home in time for Tabitha's horseback riding lesson. After lunch out on the back porch, we headed to basketball. Calvin had a game followed by Quincy reffing his first game followed by Quincy playing his first game of the season. Both boys did well and seemed to enjoy themselves. I took several pictures at Calvin's game but was "not allowed to" at Quincy's game as that "would be embarrassing, mom". You have never heard such quiet sporting events as watching a French basketball game. The parents just discretely call out words of encouragement and politely applaud when they do well. Very interesting. Parents also don't feel a big need to attend their kids' games. Only 3 parents were at Quincy's game (not counting us) for both teams! I guess they are creating autonomous kids?
