The kids were busy with activities yesterday; basketball games, horseback riding lessons, friends to visit, AND Calvin went to the birthday party for a classmate where they danced in the basement until 10 p.m.! They even had a disco ball set up for the party. Pretty fun for a bunch of 9 and 10 year olds!
Today was pretty lazy and calm. I am nursing a bad cold and a sore knee so we all just took it easy. Not feeling well always puts me in the mood for "home" so today, I cooked up a big pot of red beans and rice, made a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and even made a No-Bake Jello Cheesecake (I bought a few mixes back with me from the States last time - there are no cheesecakes to be found here). Dinner was yummy and we are now all ready to hit the sack early.
Does anyone know what this flower is? Josh's mom discovered it last week and we still haven't been able to identify it. A small orange fruit like an apricot grows on the same plant.
