We woke up to the beautiful sight of a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning! We were so excited!
After more than two years of no snow in our lives, we welcomed it! The kids were disappointed to hear that there were no delays or cancellations for school but they still managed to spend some time playing in the snow before they left for school.
Max built his first snowman and was thrilled to find him still standing (although a bit smaller) when he came home after school.
My friends and I pulled out the hats and gloves and hiking boots and persisted in our outdoor morning walking. It was invigorating although a bit slippery. I volunteered in the grade school cafeteria all day and didn't mind hovering by the steam tables a bit. They are so nice and warm.
After a library meeting, basketball practice and two swim team practices, we are all now ready to snuggle in and watch "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" tonight on television.
