We also enjoyed lots of laughing, wine and food. With two current ex-pats and two ex ex-pats, we had lots of international conversation going on. This morning, Rose and I had the nice opportunity to sit and chat over a cup of coffee. We have a lot to talk about after 20 years of rarely seeing each other! The electrician came over today and spent most of the day here taking down one chandelier and putting up two new ones in our dining room. We are thrilled with the results and feel like the room now officially looks like a dining room rather than a room with a table in it.

Two other workmen spent a fair amount of time here this afternoon, refinishing the armoire and piano and putting the piano back together. Again, the results are great!

Quincy was very excited to come home right after school today when swim team practice was unexpectedly cancelled. He was on cloud nine to have a free evening and just relax. That poor boy gets tired sometimes!

Max also had a thrilling evening when he got to have his very first guitar lesson! He has been wanting to play guitar for years and I finally felt like he was old enough and found him a private teacher. He had a great time and did amazingly well. He can't wait to practice his 15 minutes, 5 times a week as suggested and build up some "callouses" on his finger tips. He thinks that that sounds just great. Tabitha is practicing for a part in a play that her literature class is putting on. They are performing "It's a Wonderful Life" and Tabitha, very appropriately, was assigned the role of the Superintendent Angel. A bossy angel... that's my girl! Josh is at the movies with the three boys right now. They had intended to go to see "Planet 51" here in town while my party was going on but.... since Calvin was sick and Quincy was at practice, the movie theater owner refused to run the show for only 2 customers! No one else in town was at the theater and short of pulling people in off the street, Josh didn't know what to do. The man was very nice though and gave Max a backstage tour when he burst into tears and promised, promised to show the show tonight no matter how many people came to see it. So, they had Dairy Queen last night and are back at the theater tonight. Owning a theater in a town this size cannot be a money making endeavor.

Are you saying Rose...from Dwenger gives spa parties? Wasn't she a musician?
Still am. Those strings and bridges don't pay for themselves :)
