What a crazy night! It is pouring down rain and has been for hours. It is hovering just above the freezing mark so things might get hairy on the roads soon. Then, to top things off....I drove 6 of Quincy's swim team members the 15 miles to Greensburg for a meet against two other schools this evening. While the kids were swimming their warm ups, they discovered some vomit in the pool. The teams quickly evacuated the pool and waited for the mess to be cleaned up. With a few half-hearted sweeps of a towel and a lot of shoulder-shrugging, the powers that be could not decide what needed to be done. They debated for more than a hour before deciding that the kids could get back in the water and finish their warm ups. Thankfully, the home team took the "contaminated" lanes and our kids got to swim at the other side of the pool. After a few laps though, more vomit floated to the surface and the kids just gave up. They finally decided to cancel the meet and send everyone home. What a huge waste of time and a lot of disgusting sights for one evening! I did enjoy spending time with Quincy's team mates though and they were extremely complimentary of my cool car!
