Josh received a nice promotion this week. He will now be a product manager instead of a project manager. This means that he has made the transition out of engineering and into marketing. This is something that he has wanted for quite some time so he is quite excited but also nervous. He will get to use his MBA now instead of just his engineering degrees. Hurray!
This whole transition of Quincy into high school is fun but a bit nerve-wracking. Quincy seems to be fitting in so well, bringing home very good grades (honor roll!), and making new friends. He has also become much more independent however which makes me a bit nervous. I rarely know what he is working on in school (although I can always check his up to date grades online) and he tells me very little about his day. He has made some good new friends out of the other boys on the swim team. They hang out together a lot and often attend the other school sporting events with each other. The crazy thing is that some of them can drive! They seem to be very mature and responsible but it is still weird for us to always just send him off on his own. Wow! How did we get to this stage?
I am hosting a "spa party" at my house tonight. My friend, Rose, is a sales rep for BeautiControl products and she will be selling her wares at my house. Should be fun. I am busy putting together a few treats to serve throughout the evening.
