Martinis at Mid-day

My very good friend, Jane, turned 50 today. This was an event that needed to be celebrated. So, after a wonderful and fast 4 mile walk outside in the spring-like air, we headed over to her house for lunch.

We all drank a small martini while I whipped up some crème brûlée for our dessert and taught everyone the process. We then enjoyed a fantastic lunch of fun and visiting.
Tonight was a bit hectic... Josh left for Louisiana for a couple of days of work so the kids and I were on our own. We had play practices, yearbook club, a basketball game and the end of the season swim team banquet for the little guys. Exhausting. We made it to all though and are now ready for a good night's sleep. Tabitha's team won a much easier game tonight. Just one more to win in this tournament, on Thursday night.
