He is quickly approaching that magical driving age and is feeling good! This weekend was all about Quincy... Today was his 15th birthday so Josh drove him with a couple of his friends over to the nearest Dave and Busters in Cincinnati so they could gorge on hamburgers and play video games to their heart's content. Just a big kid version of Chuck E. Cheese if you ask me. Anyway, Quincy then came home to spend the late afternoon with us and enjoy his birthday meal of spaghetti with meatballs and a vanilla cake with rainbow sherbet. Very exciting day!
He also received his first high school varsity letter this weekend and his lifeguard certification.

He is certainly growing up. Last night, Josh's mom and friend, Dick, went with Josh and me to the silent/live auction fundraiser for Quincy's school. Quincy was a waiter at the event as well as Elvis' bodyguard for the entertainment portion of the evening. We all had a very enjoyable evening and Quincy did a great job.

The event earned a nice amount of money for the school and even though Josh and I had to clean up afterwards, we were still home at a reasonable hour. A friend of mine talked me into bidding on a live auction item with her, so we are now the proud owners of a fully catered party in a reception hall for 60 of our closest friends! Should be fun! We now just need to choose a date and choose our guest list. I was also auctioned off as one of the live auction items. Someone paid $350 for me to teach them how to make 5 different French desserts. Sure hope I can pull this off and make everyone happy!

Our weather was beautiful all weekend. We got most of our snow to finally melt with a couple of days in the high 50's. Calvin and Max had a wonderfully springy afternoon, riding their bikes up and down the street. Tabitha lounged in the sun reading her book and playing with Coco.
This week is going to be another crazy one! Quincy's spring play is this weekend so he will have long practices after school each day. I have also somehow gotten myself in the position of having volunteered to bake 50 dozen cookies to sell during the play intermission! There is going to be a whole lot of cooking going on around here!
