I took Calvin to the pulmonary doctor in Cincinnati today to do some pulmonary function testing. He has had asthma for so long and has been on 4 medicines for so long, we decided that it was time to re-evaluate. He did fantastic! We have decided to begin weaning him from his medicines and see how he does. We are very excited.
Just as we were coming out of the hospital on this little cloud nine, my cell phone rang to tell me that Quincy had fainted at school and was complaining of chest pains. A friend of mine (who is a nurse), picked him up from school and kept an eye on him until I could drive the one hour home. I then took him to the ER where they ran every test in the book but could really find nothing. So, I brought him home and will just keep a close eye on him for the next couple of days. He seems to be feeling fine now although still complaining of some mild chest pain.
When we all finally got home, we were thrilled to see the sun shining and the temperatures in the low 70's! Finally, almost every last bit of snow has melted and we can enjoy the outdoors again. Max and Calvin played outside for 2 hours this evening with bare feet and in shorts. They even ate their dinner on the back deck.
What a day!!!!
