One Sabine Leaves, Another Arrives

After a busy morning of swim team, tennis league, drivers ed and a cast change for Max's arm, it was time to head to the airport in Cincinnati. It was time for my friend, Sabine, to go home and to take her daughter, Anne-Héloïse, home after her three months in the U.S. Anne-Héloïse's host family came over to say good-bye this morning and they all hated to part.

Hopefully the Poltrack girls will get the opportunity to visit Anne-Héloïse in her country one day soon. I really hated to say good-bye to Sabine. We enjoyed our time together so much and it really seemed too short for an adequate visit. Fortunately, I will see her in just 2 1/2 weeks when we go to France for our vacation.

As soon as we said good-bye and got Sabine and Anne-Héloïse through security, it was time for us to meet up with the Smith family to welcome our next French guests. This time, it was Tabitha's friend, Sabine, who arrived this afternoon with her brother, Matthieu for their first visit to the U.S. Sabine will stay with us for 2 weeks while Matthieu stays with my friend, Jane, and her family.

The kids arrived jet-lagged and nervous but here and excited to be so. They are now settled into our houses and have had the tour of town. Now they just have to stay awake through dinner and they will be on easy street!
