Today seemed to just race by! This morning I met our consultant at the associations office in Vannes where she helped me to sign up for community education French as a second language classes. Hopefully I will be able to go almost daily to really learn my French. I made the mistake of being able to fill out my registration form orally with the lady and being able to correctly say my phone numbers in French so she then assumed that I could understand much more than I actually could! I'll have to be careful about that! I had almost no idea what she said after that!
Quincy and Taba came home for lunch today which they really seem to enjoy. I"m sure it is a nice break for them but I spend almost 40 minutes in the car with the round trip to pick them up and then another 40 with the round trip to take them back! Whew! Too much driving. We may have to start bringing picnics and eating closer to school! They do have more than 50 minutes at home though even with all the car time.
This afternoon, I had my private French lessons. I think that I am finally learning how to really put a sentence together and to phrase some questions.... Keep your fingers crossed for me! It's slow and painful!
We tried a first lesson for Taba at the Equestrian center after school. She really enjoyed it but the group tonight was at a bit too high of a level for her, so we are going to try a different group on Saturday morning. Once again, everyone was helpful and nice and again, people were jumping in with their bits of English to help us to understand what we needed to do.
No school tomorrow for any of the kids! Kind of nice to have a "Friday night" on a Tuesday!
