La Trinite Sur Mer

We discovered yet another beautiful coastal town about 30 minutes from here today. We were invited to join some friends at their weekend home in the town named above. It was just beautiful! They live in a large apartment in the center of Vannes during the week but have a beautiful large home near the beach for the weekends. They have 4 boys and a heated outdoor pool so they invited us to join them for the day. They also invited another family with 4 children so we all went and had a great time. The kids swam despite it being only about 60 degrees, the water temperature was 80 so they didn't mind a bit. We had a wonderful lunch (grilled on Denis' Weber grill that he was quite proud of) while all of the kids played. They played soccer, swimming, archery and rugby! Tabitha even joined in with the 10 boys on some rugby - she told me that they have been playing rugby in gym class so she is learning the rules!! We enjoyed the adult company very much but also loved watching the kids figure out how to communicate with each other in French and English. I brought along a big bag of chocolate chip cookies that I had made this morning and they were a big hit! Everyone enjoyed them and were thrilled to try something "so American".

Ouaouh... La Trinité sur Mer is very nice... One of the most expensive place to live in I guess, but wandering along the boats there is just wonderful... There is a very good bakery approximatively in the middle of its port... They have an excellent "kouign-aman", one of the typical dessert in Brittany. It has to be warmed up a little bit before eating... miam... it is too good ! (not everyday of course because you may gain some kilograms pretty fast !!!)
