Some of things arrived today!!! Our air shipped items were delivered to our house. 16 boxes of clothing, linens and some kitchen items. Pretty exciting even though it's not enough to live on. We could now cook a meal at our house even though we have no place to sit and eat it. You can see Taba and Calvin's solution to that problem for lunch. Today was very busy. Quincy started school this morning. He had a half day and although it was boring while everyone around him was speaking in French, he did enjoy it and commented several times on how friendly the teachers and other students seem to be. The other 3 kids and I attended Max's 90 minute soccer practice. He had a good time and did a good job despite hanging back more than usual because he had to watch the other kids to see what he was supposed to be doing before he did it himself. I dutifully attend the 15 minute parent meeting at the end of practice despite the fact that I could not understand one word being spoken. One more very nice woman tried her hardest to tell me a little of what was going on but her English was not very good. Oh well. We then headed out to the house where I did some laundry in my new washing machine! Unfortunately, I then had to hang the laundry on the line because my dryer won't be delivered until next week!! I'm not sure that I was ready to feel that European! After our air shipment was delivered and Josh brought Quincy home from school, we all got busy doing some unpacking and enjoyed seeing our own things again. I then took all the kids to a doctor's appointments so they could have the physicals that they needed for their various sports. Everyone did great and we were again impressed with this doctor. We came back to the apartment to meet our translator to once again fill out more forms for school. That is an all consuming task!!! I'm exhausted today.... everything is so much work. I know it will get easier but for now, it really requires a lot of energy....
