This is crazy! Somehow, two fantastic years have flown by and we are right back where we started. This afternoon, we moved ourselves out of our house and we moved right back into the tiny 2 bedroom apartment where we started this adventure. We have seen and done so many things in these past two years... It's hard to believe how far we have come mentally when we are physically in the same place. The packers will come tomorrow so we spent the day sorting the stuff that needs to go by air cargo, versus the stuff that will go by cargo boat. We also have six suitcases that will just stay with us for the next month. And, we have Coco. She is so confused, she has no idea what is happening. She will fly by herself back to the U.S. on Friday where my brother has generously agreed to watch her until we get home.
Quincy continues to be completely taken care of by his friends. He hasn't been home since Wednesday except for one brief hour yesterday morning. From Wednesday until Saturday morning, he went to the home of a friend up near the beautiful walled city of St. Malo. There, he did some exploring, shopping, beachcombing, and swimming. This weekend, he went to the beach house of a friend and from there went sailing with their family out to an uninhabited island where they were to camp overnight and come home sometime today. We haven't seen them yet but are confident that he is having fun and is safe and sound.
