Shopping and Haircuts

Today was mostly a long day of hanging out around the apartment as the kids tried to get in touch with any friends who are still in Vannes during this vacation time. Quincy and Tabitha especially were eager to make contact and make sure that they got at least a few visits organized for the week. Quincy tracked down his good buddy, Hugo, and spent the afternoon at his house. We did manage to get out for a while, to do a little shopping and to get Max and Calvin some much needed haircuts. I was reflecting on how stressful these tasks used to be when we first arrived in France. Now, although they are not as easy as they should be, they are much, much more manageable.
Back to the cruise... Our next stop after Amsterdam was in Bremerhaven, Germany.

Calvin was too sick to join the excursion so Josh took the other kids and ventured off the boat. They had a great day enjoying the local maritime zoo and were even privy to a behind the scenes tour of the workings of the zoo. This was actually Quincy's favorite day of our entire cruise. He thought it was great and the weather was perfect. Calvin and I ventured off the boat just long enough to step onto German soil and see the port.

We will miss getting our Domino's Pizza delivered with a good bottle of Bordeaux...
