A Party Weekend

Our party on Friday night went off without a hitch. We all had a WONDERFUL time! It was the perfect way to host - no set up, no clean up, and no cooking.

Jane, Greg, Josh, and I just greeted and enjoyed. We had about 70 guests, only 10 more than our allotted 60 but there was plenty of space and plenty to eat and drink so it worked out great. I put Josh in charge of taking pictures so we don't have many but...

The boys all had a great evening on Friday as well. Max and Calvin and Leo stayed home, watching Christmas movies and eating junk food. Quincy went to his friend, Bryn's, house and hung out with her and a few others. Tabitha played in a basketball game about an hour away and won and then went shopping at the local outlet mall with the mothers of a couple of friends. She got home at 1 a.m. but happy as could be!
On Saturday morning, we were all up bright and early. Leo left for a bus trip to Chicago with his exchange student program. They left at 4:45 a.m. and returned at midnight!! Worn out but had a great time. Max had a basketball game Saturday morning while Quincy and I left for a long swim meet in Lawrenceburg. Max's team lost by a small amount but our little swim team showed some great gumption and some great results. The girls placed 3 out of 6 which is GREAT considering they are about 1/8th the size of the other teams and our boys placed 2nd! Quincy once again showed some remarkable talent and came home with 3 2nd place ribbons and 1 3rd. Some of the events he swam in had more than 30 kids in them so a 2nd place is certainly something to be proud of. Especially in the butterfly!

Last night was another Christmas party for Josh and I. I was once again hosting (although didn't have to do much but show up) as the Vice President of the PTO. This party was hosted by the PTO for the school staff and faculty at our local German restaurant. We had a GREAT time at our table with a HILARIOUS bunch of teachers! Those ladies know how to have a good time!

It started snowing after midnight on Friday, caused a little bit of slippery-ness on the roads Saturday morning and is still coming down. Because the temperature is just hovering below the freezing mark, the snow is perfect to play in so Max and Calvin spent hours in it yesterday. They are hoping to do more of the same today. It sure looks pretty as well!
