After our crazy "vacation" to the U.S., we really needed a day of rest and relaxation. Today, most of us got that (poor Josh - he always has to go to work....). After a lazy start to the morning, Maureen and I packed up all the kids, the dog and some food and headed out to La Trinité-sur-Mer to use the beach house of my dear friend, Valerie. Valerie and her family are in the US for a 3 week vacation so they gave us free reign to their beach house. Gorgeous day!!! Perfect weather!!! Happy kids!! Thrilled dog!!! It was a great combination. The kids swam in the pool for hours and hours while Maureen and I talked, read or played ping pong. We all rested a bit inside and out of the sun in the afternoon and then the kids headed back the pool. Josh joined us after work for a big pasta dinner before we cleaned up and headed home. The best part of all was that Valerie's house comes equipped with a washer and dryer so I was able to get that laundry done that I need for our cruise. We have enjoyed Maureen and her boys so much, we sure hate to see them leave tomorrow. Josh has the day off tomorrow for the Feast of the Assumption so maybe he can get some rest as well....
