You know how we are around here.... Never a dull moment! After dragging through our jet lag this morning and forcing ourselves out of bed, Josh headed off to work while I roused the kids and worked hard at getting us unpacked and on with life. I hit the laundry room hard and then headed off to the grocery store. Taba and I bought just enough food to get us through until Saturday when we leave for our Mediterranean cruise. When we returned home, Tabitha got busy baking herself a birthday cake as she turned 12 today! I then walked Taba over to see Meaghan and her mom (the other Americans living here for Hill-Rom). Taba stayed to enjoy some friend time with Meaghan while I headed home to do some cooking. I realized how much French I have forgotten over the past month when someone spoke to me in the grocery store and it took forever for me to process what they had said then to respond. Ughhhh!!! It's like starting from scratch! This evening, our good friends - the Orsini's- arrived by train from Belgium! We haven't seen them in a couple of years and were thrilled to find out that they would be in Europe for a few weeks. Maureen and her two young boys will stay until Friday to observe our French lives first hand before heading to Paris to hook up with Tony and then back to Belgium. Should be fun! Taba loved having a whole crowd of people to share her birthday cake with. Happy Birthday, Tabitha!!
