French Lessons

This morning, I joined my running group for a long run along the sea. It was a gorgeous morning and great conditions for running but after only about 6 miles, my knee became too painful to run and I was discouraged to be reduced to walking for the rest of the way.... Maybe the biking, tennis and running all in 24 hours was a bit much.... It stinks to be old....
Of course, it rained for most of the rest of the day. The kids came home from school for lunch and I was able to get many errands accomplished after walking them back. Calvin told me today that many of the kids at their new school don't even know that they are not French! Pretty impressive! This afternoon, I finally resumed my full-fledged French lessons. I was thrilled to discover that not only could I still understand quite a bit, I was also a bit more comfortable with my speaking than I have been! Finally! The kids have also resumed having their French tutor after school to assist with homework. She admitted that they need her less and less so we will try it with just one day a week for now. I'm including some studio pictures that we had taken while on our cruise.... It had been a long time since we had a family portrait taken.
