After hearing all the news about how hard Hurricane Ike hit our home areas of Cincinnati and Batesville, it dawned on me that we actually haven't had any rain here since like Saturday! That's crazy!! I might even get my lawn chair cushions out and actually use them!
Today was actually quite gorgeous, very sunny and temperatures in the low 60's. Everything just looked beautiful....We do lots of biking now on Wednesdays as the kids and I go to their various activities, so we were able to be out in the sun and enjoying it. Max and Calvin had their separate basketball practices which they are just thoroughly enjoying. Both really do quite well.
Calvin and I then had to hit the streets downtown to find him a piano music book that he needed for his piano lesson tonight. We checked two different music stores before we found what we needed. I'm always thrilled and surprised when I can ask a question in a store and have it easily understood and responded to. Just makes my day! We still have no idea how Calvin's piano lessons are working however. As far as we can tell, 4 kids are scheduled during each hour but they kind of come and go as they please, play for a period of time and then just wait for the others to finish. Next week, we plan to just have Calvin go for part of that hour rather than having all of that sitting time. Bizarre!
