Although we are in France and surrounded by the gorgeous sights of the coast on a daily basis, we are also surrounded by agriculture. There are farms everywhere just outside of the city.
I am often slowed down while driving because I have a tractor in front of me or just crossing the road. See, it's practically Batesville around here.... Okay, that might be a stretch...
I joined my biking group again today for another gorgeous morning of biking.
Today, we stayed in Sene, hitting the little peninsulas of Mousterian and Montsarrac. Perfect weather!
We have started to hear more and more about the economic crisis hitting France as well. One woman that I bike with was telling me that it has become harder and harder for her to find her usual contract jobs as no one is hiring due to the recession. Many others have lost their jobs and bankers are becoming more and more reluctant to loan money. I noticed the other day that two of the real estate offices that I pass almost daily have closed their doors and gone out of business. Pretty sad...
