We are officially "in country"! We arrived at our hotel after about 18 hours of travel at about noon today. We are now struggling terribly with staying up until a decent hour tonight to get over the jet lag for tomorrow when we need to begin our house hunt and to be somewhat aware!! Our trip was completely uneventful which was so nice! We are trying to use our French to communicate (Josh being much better at it than I) but we are often forced to ask for help in English. Most people that we have run across have better English than our French so they can help us out. Everything is beautiful here!!! It is about 70 degrees, mostly sunny today with a wonderful breeze. Our hotel backs up to some inlet of the sea so it is very lush and green. You can see a picture of me walking around behind the hotel in an attempt to keep myself awake! Josh is enjoying driving our tiny little car as he loves a manual transmission! We have been exploring the town that we are staying in, Auray, and driving around the towns where we will search for houses and schools, Vannes, Arradon and Baden. Very, very old buildings and very, very narrow winding streets. Pretty fun so far!! The coffee is wonderful and they seem to serve chocolate and wine with everything - I think we are going to love it here!!
