Everyone in the family is finally feeling better today so we feel like we are getting back on track! We also had our final offer accepted on the house in Indiana so we are thrilled to once again be starting the home buying process (we should be awfully good at this by now! This is home ownership #6 for us!) Today was Wednesday so only Quincy had to go to school this morning. He has been telling us all week about this group of Irish students who have been staying with host families and visiting their school. He said it's been quite fun to hang out with them, speak English, and to learn all about Ireland. He let slip today that they are from an All Girls School in Ireland!! No wonder he's been enjoying it so much! He said that when asked, the things that they say they like the most about France are "the boys, the food, and the snow!"
When I mention the rarity of snow, you have to keep in mind that despite the fact that our latitude is quite high, actually equal to Fargo, North Dakota, we have a very warm, temperate climate. Many of the plants that grow so freely around here are often considered to be tropical! Plants that are common in South and Central America. We have palm trees and mimosa, all over the place.

Congratulations on getting the house! My guess is you're looking at a really low interest rate. Welcome to our American recession!
