Spring has Arrived!

Today was Wednesday so it was chock full of our usual activities. However, today was also chock full of sunshine and almost 60 degrees! I think spring has finally arrived as the daily rain showers have stopped, the flowers are blooming and the temperatures start out higher and remain so all day long. I loved every moment of my running around today because every moment was wonderful to be outside. Here are some pictures of what is currently blooming in our yard.

Max came home from catechism today and told me that he would rather be French. When I asked him why, he said that the French do not "give up" anything for Lent. He would much prefer to do that! I don't know if this is true or just his 7 year old perspective.
Quincy had a swim meet today after his morning session of school. He did exceptionally well and came home with 5 medals, two gold, one silver, and two bronze. The butterfly seems to be his best stroke this year.

Just when I am feeling nostalgic about the U.S. and missing many things American, I come across a headline like this.... Some things would only happen in America and that is NOT something to be proud of.

It is about 60 and sunny here today too. In fact I think it is warmer outside than inside. I saw people golfing today and the Reds had their first spring training game. Won't be long.
