Tabitha has all kinds of exciting things going as she finishes up her grade school career. They have something special planned for almost every day. Yesterday, the entire eighth grade class went on a retreat together at a local retreat center. I was one of four parents to chaperone. It was a great day. Lots of fun activities for the kids as well as significant spiritual reflection time. There were even some teary moments when the kids read letters that their parents had written to them, telling them how much they were loved. The day ended in an evening Mass where each kid had both of the parents along. Josh and I enjoyed our evening with just Tabitha very, very much. It is a rare occasion when we both get to be with just one of our kids. After Mass, we took her out to eat at the Country Club where we had a delicious and relaxing meal.
