Josh had to run to two different town meetings tonight to stay on top of all that is going on in this buzzing metropolis. The public schools have suddenly decided to change the bussing schedules for our Catholic school and make our school day shorter and earlier because of this. They also want to make our kids change buses at a central location which would cause some pretty significant confusion for some pretty little kids. So, the Catholic school parents rallied together and descended on the school board meeting tonight. We'll see how it all turns out in the end. Josh then ran over to the Municipal building where a debate was going on about implementing a hike/bike trail throughout the city. Everyone feels that this would be a wonderful idea and an asset to the area but of course, those that have property along those easements that would be used are complaining about giving up that 8 feet that doesn't belong to them anyway. Josh spoke his piece and felt like people were being pretty reasonable so again, we will wait and see what happens.

We had our little French friend over again this evening. She is doing so well here in the U.S. and her English is rapidly improving. We still use her to practice our French on however so we have some fun French-speaking dinners when she is visiting. Tonight, the boys taught her to play some baseball. She had a great time!

After chaperoning on two different field trips this week, the kids came home laden with thank you notes for me. Gosh, being a chaperone is pretty darn rewarding when you get some great comments like these...
