Struggling a Bit

This broken arm is not Max's thing at all! He had quite a bit of pain yesterday and really just had to lay low and take it easy. If Tabitha or Calvin had a broken arm, they would just see it as a chance to read non-stop for a month. Max needs to be moving however and is really struggling to find things that he can do.

We did have some friends come over from Indianapolis for a visit.

Max tried to join in the fishing, playing, etc but really had to find his own pace and figure out how to do things in a different way.

When several of the kids went to the neighborhood pool, I let Max climb into the hot tub with a plastic bag tied around his cast.

He did okay for awhile, floating in an inner tube but he ended up tired and a little sore... We'll make it...
We all did have a good time with our friends however.

Josh and Jim went sailing for a couple of hours and had a great time after helping the kids do some fishing at the house.

Teresa's youngest, Sara, is a beautiful 2 year old with a mind of her own.

She kept us all occupied, especially Tabitha!
Calvin had a wonderful day yesterday! He and his grandma attended the Indianapolis 500, the hottest one on record. They had a great time, managed to avoid getting sunburned or dehydrated and watched the race until the very end. Thanks, Grandma!
