We have had a nice lazy day of getting to know Leo and letting him get to know us. We did a little shopping for some school clothes, we introduced him to donuts for breakfast, and we took a long family bike ride around the neighborhood. We ran into just a couple of glitches along the way... One is that he does not like water, either in the form of boating or swimming.... (hmmm... we'll figure something out) and the other is his opposition to wearing a bike helmet. Pretty minor in the grand scheme of things so far, so we are just rolling with it for now. So, we did
not spend the day at the pool but Quincy did get to introduce Leo to some of his friends and Quincy did spend the day working at the pool while Leo hung out with us. When Leo asked to use chopsticks to eat his dinner tonight, we decided that this was the opportunity for all of us to better acquaint ourselves with chopsticks. So, we all pulled out the new sets that Leo had given us and dug in. With Leo's help, we managed far better then we had in the past and even managed some slippery noodles.

When it came to eating the chocolate cream pie that I had made for dessert however, we all opted to use a fork (even Leo), except for Max. He plodded on and enjoyed making quite a mess.
Here is a picture of all the Oldenburg Academy F.L.A.G. students and their host families.

School starts tomorrow for Tabitha and Leo!!! Can't believe that Tabitha will be a freshman!
