Very interesting but not exactly uplifting.
Calvin performed in the matinee performance of Alice in Wonderland. Tabitha and I attended the show and had a great time. Tabitha then went to babysit for two little French girls. These little girls, ages 2 and 4, were visiting our French friends with their parents. The parents headed to dinner in Cincinnati and then to the riverboat casinos so Taba babysat for a nice long time. She had a great time with these two little cuties and their parents were thrilled to have a French speaking babysitter in little 'ole Batesville. Quincy has been working a lot as well, earning the big bucks. He enjoys his job as one of the lifeguards at the neighborhood pool although it's usually quite boring.
Josh and I rode into town with the little boys on Saturday evening, just to take a ride. Very pleasant. Max and Calvin and I then rode into town again on Sunday afternoon to go to the theater to see Toy Story 3. After the show, we were the last ones left in the theater (because Max had to go to the bathroom) so the theater owner offered to give us a tour of the projection room. Very interesting! I had no idea how that all worked. Our local theater was built in 1921 but the projection equipment is fairly modern. Very cool. After an ice cream cone, we then rode home. While we were at the theater, Josh and Quincy went sailing. They had a great time despite the quiet winds. Josh is now more motivated then ever to get a dock of our own in our yard so that he can go out much more easily and quickly. Throughout the weekend, we continued to get Leo's room ready to go for him to move in on Saturday. We sanded and painted a dresser for him and emptied out the closets. He should be ready to go.
Last night, we went for a drink and appetizers at our French friends' house. They wanted to introduce their American friends to their visiting French friends. We had a great time while our kids either had sleepovers at friends' houses or had their friends sleepover here. Lots of fun to squeeze in this final week before school starts!
