Putting the Team to Work

As much as it pained me (psychologically, not physically) to sit out during this year's Thanksgiving dinner preparations, I followed my doctor's advice and didn't stand for any long periods of time. Josh strongly enforced this by taking care of everything. So, I sat in a chair in the corner of the kitchen and directed instead (I could get used to this!). It was a team event this year! Quincy made the pumpkin pie, Tabitha made the cranberry apple pie and the cornbread for the stuffing, Calvin made the cranberry sauce,

and Max made the sweet potato casserole.

Josh made an absolutely beautiful and succulent turkey along with making the stuffing and the green beans.

Josh's mom made the gravy and the mashed potatoes. Perfect! The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with Josh's family today.

After dinner, we "enjoyed" a cold, wet walk in the misty, rainy weather before coming home to enjoy a fire in the fireplace.

The rest of our day has just been lazy and relaxing.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!! We certainly have many things to be grateful for!
