Whew, I am way out of practice with the wine drinking and food eating all day long...
I woke up before 6 a.m. this morning to do the next step on the french baguettes that I was trying to make for a ladies lunch today and then a dinner with our French friends this evening. All steps of this 20 hour process seemed to be going well until the end. Then my baguettes simply deflated and turned out as hard, flat pancakes. Ughhhh!!

So, I ran to Krogers for a quick loaf of their "artisan" bread before heading to my friend, Cecilia's house for lunch. Cecilia loves to cook and loves food as much as I do so we always have a great time comparing and sharing favorite recipes. Today, she was in the mood to create from Bobby Flay's cookbook so she made all of us a WONDERFUL lunch of green pea green chile soup, chicken pancetta, and spicy tapioca. Incredible! After sitting on the deck, eating delicious food and drinking wine, it was time to go home. We are now getting ready for a long French dinner with our French friends and a few others. The kids are all off to hang out with friends and our high schoolers are going to the first dance of the schoolyear.

Tonight's theme is a hoe down so everyone is wearing cowboy shirts and is ready to go.
