I passed a big milestone today, finally! I received a phone call from a mother of one of Max's friends, telling me that her son can come to Max's birthday party on Saturday but that due to soccer, he will be one hour late. She then asked me if it was still okay that he came. Our entire conversation was in French without one hesitation or misunderstanding (I think!)!! Hurray! That is the very first phone French conversation that I have had. Phew!! Now, my next goal is to make it through one whole day without having to say "Sorry, I don't speak French". I"m not sure that will ever happen, but I'll keep aiming high! We had a gorgeous, gorgeous day today with temperatures close to 60 and the sun shining all day. The wind has died down a little but is not gone yet. The kids and I had a nice relaxing day today of not having to do too much after soccer practice this morning for Max and the 1/2 day of school for Q and T. We had an American over for dinner tonight which was quite fun for all of us. This is the man who works for Hill-Rom and is considering a 9 month move over here for he and his family. We all had fun imparting our words of wisdom and experiences to him.
