Joyeux Paques!

That's "Happy Easter" to you and I. We had a wonderfully lazy day today with nothing too exciting going on. It was probably one of the coldest days that we have had all year. Interspersed with our usual daily rainfall, we also had some periods of sleet and hail and the temperature didn't ever get much above 40. Welcome to spring! Because it's the holiday weekend, the kids didn't have their usual school or sports today - only Tabitha had her horseback riding class. The kids had a good time handpainting Easter eggs since we weren't able to ever find any egg coloring dye and the dye that my dad sent hasn't arrived yet. Calvin and Josh finally put together the basketball goal which has been in pieces since we moved, while Max and I made a berry tart. Quincy went over to a friend's house and discovered the "greatest new game ever"! It's called War Hammers and apparently every adolescent boy in France is totally into this. He was so excited when he came home, that he ran almost the entire way just so he could tell us all about it. After our Easter dinner of salmon, potatoes, salad and a chocolate Easter cake from the boulangerie, we lit our first fire in our fireplace and played some "Boggle". Nice day.... Happy Easter everyone!
