A Hoosier Coney

What a great day today! Only Quincy and Josh had to go to school and work, so the rest of us just kicked back and relaxed. The weather was agreeably warm and gorgeous today which gave us the opportunity to get out and get some things done. The kids and I ran errands all morning. Thoroughly enjoying the small, small size of our town and the fact that we could go to the bank, go to the library, grab some quick groceries, go to the craft store for Halloween supplies, get a haircut, buy some swimming goggles, get a couple of watch batteries replaced, and stop to chat with friends, all within an hour and a half and all on foot (once we drove into town). Because we were all feeling so good and had accomplished so much, we decided to have lunch in our favorite local little ice cream shop. Snikkers and Peanuts has the best chicken noodle soup and homemade pies around! Max had an enormous double hotdog, covered in chili sauce and buried in cheese - called a Hoosier Coney. He loved it! We had a great time, chatted with a few more friends and then headed home for the afternoon. The kids had a whole gaggle of friends come over and play for the afternoon while I did some cooking. Fun time!
