Reward for Hard Work

We put the kids to work after lunch today. While Josh made big headway on his tiling project in the basement, I got the kids busy raking and mowing the grass.

I think we have more trees and therefore more leaves here than in any other American house we've owned.

After I did some touch up painting and some more sanding, I took the kids to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" as their reward for hard work. Great movie! Quincy opted out of going (I think he was afraid that we would run into someone he knew), but the rest of us enjoyed it immensely.
I'm so happy that it's finally Sunday night! We can finally go to bed when we want to rather than waiting up for one kid or another. How did we get to this stage all of a sudden?! All weekend, we seemed to be waiting up for someone who was at a sleepover, at the movies, at a football game, or at Kings Island. I remember the good ole' days where we put the kids to bed early when we were tired and then just went to bed...
