Twinkies??!

Our kids have never had a Twinkie. I didn't realize this until Max was reading a joke book one day and the punch lines were often about Twinkies. He then asked me what a Twinkie was! While I certainly don't agree with the nutritional value of a Twinkie, I do think that every child should at least know what one is! So, I bought some Twinkies at the store today. When the kids got home from school, I offered them each a Twinkie. No one was very impressed. They didn't think that they were all that good.... Guess Josh will have to eat the rest of the box. HE was thrilled to see Twinkies in the pantry. I had to balance this decadence with a big pot of ratatouille for dinner tonight.

I had the usual running around today, trying to get the house back on track after the weekend. Errands to run, groceries to buy, etc. One of our new chairs also arrived today so that was quite exciting.

Our family room is really taking shape. I also laid out my new rugs in our living room. We still have chairs to buy, walls to paint, and curtains to take down, but it's getting there!

Tabitha had her first meeting of the Teen Advisory Group for the public library today. She had a great time and is very happy to play a vital role in the library teen activities and books!
Quincy is at a very exciting soccer game tonight. Somehow or another, the undefeated boys soccer team from his private school get to play the boys soccer team from the local public school in the sectional tournament. The whole town is excited! We'll see who wins...

Love the rug and the chair. My kids don't get excited about Twinkies either. Didn't they used to have more cream in them?
