It never got above 60 all day today and the sun never came out. Unfortunately, we didn't get any of the rain that was threatening and predicted however so our driest summer in 47 years continues...
Mondays are always about catching up on the house, the laundry and the cleaning for me. I also went into work for 4 hours this afternoon. Leo was supposed to play in a tennis match tonight in Brookville but they got the rain that we didn't so the match was cancelled. His tennis season is now over. Quincy is currently at a soccer game in Harrison where they are also getting a cold rain but soccer plays on, no matter what the weather, whereas tennis often cancels. This evening, Leo is going to his first swim lesson at the YMCA. With our constant exposure to water and swimming, he has decided that he needs to learn to swim. So, he signed up for lessons. I hope that he enjoys it and learns quickly! Calvin and Max had their swim team assessment tonight. They swam with for the coaches to determine which level they will swim in for this winter swim team season. I am crossing my fingers that they will get placed in the same group and actually share a practice time. I'm sure that it is way too much to ask however... I had time to make a big ole' meat and potatoes kind of meal tonight.

Roasted garlic and parmesan encrusted ribeye steaks with garlic mashed potatoes. Everyone loved it and no one added any ketchup!

I'm glad Leo is going to take swim lessons. Everyone should know how.
