Yesterday morning, some big storms rolled through the entire state of Indiana. There were tornado warnings everywhere and all of the kids at school ended up spending more than an hour in the school basements, waiting out the warnings. We had lots of rain and some high winds but other than a few branches on the ground and all of the neighbors leaves blown into our yard, no real damage was done.
Yesterday morning, just as we were leaving our driveway as I was taking Max and Calvin to school, a big yellow ball of ours blew out of one of our trees and startled me. I said, "Where did that come from?" Max replied, "From the tree. I sure hope the skateboard doesn't blow out also!" Sure enough, when I went to check, there was a skateboard in the tree. Now, I am sure that most people do not keep skateboards in their trees but apparently, we do!

Max spends most of his free moments climbing trees and apparently taking things with him as he climbs.
I drove to Indianapolis at the end of the storm yesterday to pick up Quincy from his leadership retreat. He had a wonderful time and had all sorts of stories to tell me. They did an amazing number of things but got very little sleep so he was exhausted. He had lots of new friends that he was eager to add to Facebook when he got home.
