A nasty cold has kept me at home these past couple of days. I have just been taking it easy until last evening when I needed to go to school and help out with the Indian cooking class that our India-born associate pastor had offered to teach to the junior high kids. Father is a great cook but has little use for recipes or kitchen safety! So, while he tossed all sorts of yummy things together in multiple pots and instructed the kids to remove the skin from chicken, peel garlic and ginger, and chop vegetables, the other mom and I ran around like crazy, making sure that everyone left with all of their fingers intact. The food was delicious and wonderfully spicy and the kids did a great job! I tried to create recipes for the kids out of what we were taught but I'm not sure that any of us will be able to duplicate what Father did.

I went straight to a fundraiser meeting at the high school, worn out and smelling of curry!
Max had a field trip to the fire station yesterday with his preschool buddy. The fourth graders are each responsible for one preschool student. They do all sorts of things with them throughout the year. Max was lucky enough to be paired with the youngest brother of one of Tabitha's friends. Max and Evan get along great and the big sisters loving seeing their little brothers together.

Soccer tournaments begin tonight with the boys high school sectional. Quincy won't play since the JV team is not involved but he is excited and ready to cheer from the sidelines.
Leo is a little angry with us right now. We have limited his computer time to 1 hour per day. He has begun to spend all of his time on the computer. Playing games and chatting with his Chinese friends. Never interacting with anyone in English. So....
