Josh and I left early yesterday morning for the four hour drive up to South Bend to see the Notre Dame football game. The drive was easy, the weather was great but the game was terrible! Lots of bad plays, some player injuries and a horrible final play that ended the game in a loss for us. Ughhh! However, we had a great time because we met up with Josh's good friend, Marc, and his girlfriend from Chicago. We really enjoyed getting to know Susan and always enjoy spending time with Marc. After a long, leisurely dinner after the game, Marc and Susan headed home while we spent the night in South Bend. Very relaxing! The kids had a great weekend as well with sleepovers, trick or treating and lots of candy. Calvin suffered a big wipeout on his bike and ended up with two very bruised and skinned knees but the neighbors saw him fall and immediately took great care of him. "It takes a village....", you know....
